The Northeast Connecticut Cancer Fund of Day Kimball Healthcare was the recent recipient of a generous donation of $1,408 by the Pomfret School Girl’s Field Hockey Team in honor and recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The team, coached by Louisa Jones, held a week-long fundraiser during the month of October, and. for the third year in a row, dedicated the funds raised to the NECT Cancer Fund of DKH. The Fund provides financial assistance to residents of Northeast Connecticut who otherwise may not have the financial resources to access needed medical care.
