The Wound Healing Center at Day Kimball Hospital provides specialized treatment to facilitate the healing of chronic wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers, lower extremity venostasis ulcers, poorly healing surgical wounds, and chronically infected wounds. The Center is run by a staff of specially trained and certified wound care nurses under the supervision of a physician with special training in wound care.

The Wound Healing Center collaborates with Day Kimball Healthcare’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, HomeCare, nutritionist, and other services as necessary.
Appointments at the Wound Healing Center require a referral and are by appointment only. Referrals may be made by primary care practitioners, hospital-based physicians and surgeons. Once a referral is made, patients may call the Center Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to schedule their first appointment. Appointments are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Billing for wound care services will come from Day Kimball Hospital.
