Hayden's Hike for Hope

04/26/2017

On Thursday, May 11, twenty-one year old Hayden Breault of Webster, MA will set out on a three month hike across the Pacific Crest Trail, which spans 2,658 miles, beginning at the U.S.-Mexican border at Campo, California and ending at Manning Park in B.C., Canada.

As part of this ambitious mission, Breault, a member of the Deary family, will be carrying on a long standing family tradition of supporting cancer treatment for those in northeast Connecticut.

Breault’s goal is to raise $3,000 through pledges as he reaches various legs of the hike.
He will be donating 100% of the proceeds raised to the Northeast CT Cancer Fund of Day Kimball Healthcare, a fund that provides financial assistance for cancer screening and treatment to northeast Connecticut residents in need. The fund, formerly known as the “Deary Memorial Cancer Fund,” was originally founded by the Deary family, in honor of beloved daughter and sister Cathy Deary, in 1989.

Breault will be posting live updates of his progress at approximately 20 stops along the way via social media. Follow Hayden's progress on the trail now on Youtube >
