Tiffany Guilmette, accounts receivable technician for Day Kimball Hospital, has been named employee of the month for April by Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH).

Guilmette began her career with Day Kimball Hospital in January 2017 in the Nutritional Services department before transitioning into her new position in the Patient Accounts department six months ago. In her current role as accounts receivable technician, Guilmette, plays an important customer service role that requires precise organizational skills. Her daily responsibilities include assisting patients in the settlement of their accounts, explaining charges, and answering related inquiries.

According to Guilmette’s supervisor, Elizabeth Hatzell, Credit and Collections Supervisor for Day Kimball Hospital, “I first got to know Tiffany as a patron of the cafeteria. She always greeted me with a warm smile and was quite proficient in her short order skills. Last May she transferred to my department and in a short period of time, she excelled in her new role and felt comfortable in her daily functions. She is caring, positive, and openhearted towards her fellow man. Tiffany demonstrates kindness and respect for all patients as she gives them directions throughout the hospital. She always comes to work with a smile, possessing a ‘can do’ attitude, and a sense of accomplishment in having achieved the departmental goals set forth in her position.”

In response to being named employee of the month, Guilmette said, “I feel absolutely honored. It was completely unexpected. It feels amazing to be able to join past and present employee of the month recipients.”

When asked what she likes most about her job, Guilmette said, “I like working with the public. I also enjoy the interactions that I have with patients as well as hospital employees.”

Guilmette was born at Day Kimball Hospital and grew up in South Killingly, Connecticut. She currently resides in Moosup, Connecticut with her four children, Kyle, Marcus, Connor, and Christopher.
