Day Kimball Hospital (DKH) has named Jiliana Marrero, certified medical assistant at Day Kimball Medical Group’s Family Medicine office in Putnam, Employee of the Month for January.

Marrero joined DKH in 2021, and her dedication, professionalism, and positivity have been instrumental in the success of her team. Colleagues describe her as an anchor and a positive force, highlighting her unwavering support for both providers and coworkers. She has embraced every aspect of primary care, making her an invaluable member of the team.

As a medical assistant, Marrero is responsible for patient intake services, direct patient care, assisting providers during exams, and performing various clinical tasks.

Upon learning she had been named Employee of the Month, Marrero expressed her gratitude stating, “I am truly honored to be recognized. My favorite part of this job is working with patients and having the opportunity to connect with them.”

Born in Brighton, Mass., Marrero grew up and currently resides in Southbridge, Mass.
