Jennifer Ruggirello BSN, RN, IBCLC, Nurse in Maternal Child Health at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, has been named employee of the month for May by Day Kimball Health (DKH).

Jennifer began her career with DKH in 1986 and is currently a nurse in Maternal Child Health, where she provides exceptional care to women, newborns, and families throughout the entire journey from labor to discharge. Her expertise spans triage, labor and delivery, C-sections, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care. She and her team specialize in supporting women and families during what can often be a challenging and vulnerable period. 

Since 2009, Jennifer has served as a lactation supporter and counselor (CLC) and recently achieved her International Board Certification in Lactation (IBCLC), which underscores her passion for educating the local community about the numerous health benefits of breastfeeding and lactation. One of the highlights of her job, Jennifer states, is her night shift coworkers, who she describes as “the best of the best.” Together, they operate like a well-oiled machine, delivering the best care possible.

Born in Worcester, MA, Jennifer currently resides in Killingly, CT with her husband John. They have three grandchildren, Emerson, Sawyer, and Grace, and six grand-dogs. Outside of work, Jennifer loves to travel with her husband and pursue hobbies including knitting, weaving, and spinning.
