Day Kimball Hospital (DKH) has named Doreen Szpyrka, certified pharmacy technician, employee of the month for October.

Doreen joined DKH in 2016. In her current role, she is an IV medication/chemo compounder, and she truly enjoys the various opportunities that come with her role, with a particular passion for IV preparation and chemotherapy. Doreen consistently exceeds expectations and goes well above and beyond, a dedication acknowledged and respected by her colleagues.

Doreen, was “honored” to be nominated by all of her co-workers in the pharmacy, and selected by DKH’s senior leadership team for her unwavering commitment, outstanding leadership, and tireless dedication to the mission of DKH. In addition to her well-deserved recognition, she received special awards including a reserved parking spot for the month, a visa gift card, an overnight stay gifted by Foxwoods Resort and Casino, her name on our Employee of the Month plaque, and a recognition cake.
