Day Kimball Health (DKH) has named Danielle Greene, a certified medical assistant and administrative support in the oncology department, as its Employee of the Month for October. Danielle manages a range of clinical and administrative responsibilities, working closely with the oncology manager and infusion nurses to ensure seamless operations and the highest-quality patient care throughout treatment.
“Danielle joined Day Kimball Health in July of 2023 and has quickly become a vital part of the oncology department,” said Kyle Kramer, CEO of Day Kimball Health. “Her personal journey, combined with her dedication to improving the lives of our patients, inspires us all. She exemplifies the compassion and commitment to patient care that defines Day Kimball Health and this recognition is well-deserved.”
Before transitioning to healthcare, Danielle worked in the Marine Fisheries Division of Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources, with a concentration in Fisheries and Wildlife Conservation, from the University of Connecticut and an Associate in Medical Assisting degree from Quinebaug Valley Community College.
“My career in healthcare was inspired by my own battle with cancer,” said Danielle. “Now, as I celebrate six years cancer-free, I find fulfillment in helping patients and their families navigate the challenges I once faced. My work allows me to make a meaningful difference in their lives, and it gives me a deep sense of perspective and joy.”
Beyond her clinical responsibilities, Danielle is an active participant in organizing oncology staff involvement in cancer-related fundraisers and community events. Originally from Hampton, CT, she now resides in Brooklyn, CT, with her significant other, Adam.
Day Kimball Health’s employee of the month program is sponsored by Foxwoods Resort Casino and the Mashantucket (Western) Pequot Tribal Nation in appreciation of our healthcare workers and all they do for our community.
